Rosettes and acanthus swags extend on either side of foliate crest and central carved cartouche. The medallion exhibits a basket of tulip flowers. The case below is enclosed by a pair of stunningly figured mahogany paneled doors which open to series of original adjustable shelves and a number of valanced pigeonholes. The lower case is outfitted with a sloping lid revealing a desktop with more drawers and pigeonholes and two half drawers flanked by lopers. Three graduated drawers with cockbeaded edges fill the case. The secretary rests on original bracket ogee feet with a period set of brasses.
