Two very attractive walnut chairs, with serpentine crest rail, square legs. The beautiful pierced backsplat features C curves and interlocking diamond. Rosehead nails support corner brackets for the drop seats, which are presented in muslin awaiting reupholstery. American, likely Virginia or Mid-Atlantic c. 1750-85.
