Elegant, understated pair of walnut Chippendale side chairs featuring stylized sheaves of wheat and scallop shell pierced splat. Serpentine crest rail and straight legs and stretchers. The drop seats are covered in 19th century Oushak carpet remnants. American, likely Virginia or Mid-Atlantic, c. 1765.
