18th Century Chippendale Mahogany Card Table

An English George III mahogany card or console table with rectangular flip-top bearing a molded edge. The top is supported by a frieze drawer with period brass pull. Presumed original pierced brackets join the case to the square moulded legs. A gate leg opens to create a square tabletop. A fine, versatile piece with handsome detailing. Oak secondary wood, England, circa 1770.
